Han Yu Meets the Snow韓文公遇雪
Clouds darken, mist covers the road ahead of the mountain;
among all things, the moon becomes full again.
If you awaken from the dream of books and learning,
a noble helper guides you up to the terrace of heaven.

Han Yu Meets the Snow
The scholar Han Yu was banished to the far south for criticising the emperor's worship of a Buddhist relic. At Languan Pass a snowstorm stopped his horse. His nephew Han Xiangzi, now an immortal, appeared through the snow to guide him, and Han Yu understood the fate he had been warned of.
